Which Neiman or steering lock for my Dyane or Acadiane?
The function of the Neiman, also known as the steering lock, is multiple and decisive. Depending on the position of the ignition key (stop / ignition / start), it locks the
steering column or energises the car for driving or starting. The Dyane and Acadiane have a special model of Neiman steering lock. This comes with two ignition keys and also incorporates an anti-theft starter switch. It is this contactor that powers up the Dyane in the ignition or start position.

Two models of alternative contactors are available in this shop: the 12V key-operated circuit breaker (ref 1101910) for easy disconnection of the battery without removing the terminals. It acts as an anti-theft device and also preserves the
battery's charge level when the vehicle is not being driven. If your Dyane is not equipped with a Neiman steering lock, we also offer a key-operated starter switch (part number 1101900), also supplied with two ignition keys. If you're not going to be using your car for a long time, you can also fit the circuit-breaker battery lug, which means you don't have to disconnect your Dyane's battery. It takes just a few minutes to fit directly onto the negative terminal.
